{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-234.294","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 234.294","heading":"Funds -- Use -- Disbursement.","body":"The funds, including donations from individuals, associations, concerns, corporations,\nand grants from state or federal governmental agencies, shall be used for the purpose of\npromoting and stimulating, by research, market development, and education, the\nincreased use and sale of propane and increased consumer and employee safety. None of\nthese funds shall be used to lobby as defined in KRS 6.611. The council shall use and\ndisburse the funds as follows:\n(1) The council may refund to the industry association certified under KRS 234.280 the\ncosts and expenses incurred in the conduct of the initial referendum. The council\nshall bear the cost of any subsequent referenda provided for in KRS 234.270 to\n234.302;\n(2) The council may spend or disburse the necessary f unds for administrative costs and\nexpenses, but no more than fifteen percent (15%) of the funds collected in any year\nshall be utilized in this manner; and\n(3) The balance remaining shall be used for the purposes provided in KRS 234.270 to\n234.302, as determined by the council.","path":["KRS Chapter 234"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11020","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:48Z","sha256":"9f2cbaf92b351c0fc6fc8f0c74148d717b295a17a3f0919204c7cd1a647ff2bc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-234.292","next":"us-ky/krs-234.296"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
