{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-235.410","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 235.410","heading":"Definitions for KRS 235.410 to 235.470.","body":"As used in KRS 235.410 to 235.470, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the\nfollowing words shall have the following meanings:\n(1) \"Houseboat\" means any recreational or pleasure -type vessel, including, but not\nlimited to, cruisers, yachts, or ru nabouts equipped with a marine sanitation device,\nand which can be used as an overnight residence;\n(2) \"Vessel\" means every description of watercraft, other than a seaplane on the water,\nused or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water;\n(3) \"Person\" or \"persons\" means any individual, public or private corporation, political\nsubdivision, government agency, municipality, industry, copartnership, association,\nfirm, trust, estate, or other entity whatsoever;\n(4) \"Sewage\" means the water -carried human or animal wastes from residences,\nbuildings, industrial establishments, vessels, or other places, together with such\nindustrial wastes, underground, surface, storm or other water, as may be present;\n(5) \"Industrial wastes\" means liquid, or other w astes resulting from any process of\nindustry, manufacture, trade or business, or from the development of any natural\nresource;\n(6) \"Other wastes\" means sawdust, bark or other wood debris, garbage, refuse, ashes,\noffal, tar, oil, chemicals, acid drainage an d all other foreign substances not included\nwithin the above definitions of industrial wastes and sewage which may cause or\ncontribute to the pollution of any waters of the Commonwealth.","path":["KRS Chapter 235"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11084","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:49Z","sha256":"7420e8c332be798d5317fbfadfe7d6a4e43f79833f9f5620a4f7e18acb999fa1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-235.330","next":"us-ky/krs-235.420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
