{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-236.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 236.050","heading":"Maximum working pressure allowed -- Construction of chapter.","body":"(1) The maximum allowable working pressure of a boiler or pressure vessel carrying\nthe ASME code symbol shall be determined by the applicable sections of the code\nunder which it was constructed and stamped.\n(2) The maximum allowable working pressure of a boiler or pressure vessel which does\nnot carry the ASME code symbol shall be computed in accordance with the\nAmerican Petroleum Institute 579/ASME FFS -1 (Fitness for Service) evaluation as\nadopted by the department and the regulations adopted in accordance with  KRS\n236.030.\n(3) This chapter shall not be construed as in any way preventing the use or sale of a\nboiler referred to in this section, provided it has been made to conform to the rules\nand regulations of the commissioner governing existing installations; and provided,\nfurther, it has not been found upon inspection to be in an unsafe condition.","path":["KRS Chapter 236"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40108","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:49Z","sha256":"0527e7409df1b179d1d0781ccf63af95807f995e96d78160c1af85659a33a788","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-236.040","next":"us-ky/krs-236.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
