{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-236.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 236.100","heading":"Suspension or revocation of appointment or commission -- Notice and","body":"hearing -- Reinstatement -- Penalty for falsification of application or inspection\nreport.\n(1) Any boiler inspector's, special inspector's, owner-user inspector's, or owner's piping\ninspector's appointment or commission may be suspended or revoked by the\ndepartment, after due investigation and hearing thereon, for the incompetence or\nuntrustworthiness of the holder thereof, or for willful falsification of any matter or\nstatement contained in his or her application or in a report of any inspection made\nby him or her. Written notice of and an opportunity for a hearing on any suspension\nor revocation under this subsection shall be given by the department to the\ninspector, and in the case of a special boiler inspector, also to his or her employer in\naccordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 13B.\n(2) A person whose appointment or commission has been suspended shall be entitled to\napply to the commissioner, after ninety (90) days from th e date of the suspension,\nfor reinstatement of the appointment or commission.\n(3) Any willful falsification of an application or inspection report shall constitute a\nmisdemeanor and shall subject the inspector or special inspector to the penalties\nprovided in KRS 236.990.","path":["KRS Chapter 236"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40114","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:50Z","sha256":"a978dc6688e6d9fec5140abd1744f2e24ce05c185993d95630ff93f35d4cc748","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-236.097","next":"us-ky/krs-236.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
