{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-236.210","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 236.210","heading":"License required for installing, erecting, or repairing boilers or","body":"pressure vessels -- Issuance -- Renewal -- Exception.\n(1) A  person shall not engage in the business of installing, erecting, or repairing\nboilers or pressure vessels unless that person first obtains a license from the\ncommissioner.\n(2) Each  person, firm, or corporation shall pass an examination prepared and\nadministered by the department.\n(3) A license shall be issued by the commissioner or the chief boiler inspector to\nqualified applicants upon payment of a reasonable fee not to exceed the cost\nof  examination and  other expenses  involved as  established by  the\ncommissioner in an administrative regulation promulgated in accordance with\nKRS  Chapter 13A.\n(4) The  license shall be renewable annually, not later than the first of the month\nfollowing the expiration date, upon payment of a reasonable fee not to exceed\nthe costs involved in such renewal as established by the commissioner in an\nadministrative regulation promulgated in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A.\n(5) All individuals in the employ of a licensee shall not be required to be licensed.","path":["KRS Chapter 236"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46990","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:50Z","sha256":"d60c362731ff076c27d111cb6349f3bb1a235926b5edc30170213da85633f75c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-236.150","next":"us-ky/krs-236.220"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
