{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-237.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 237.080","heading":"Prohibition against manufacture, sale, delivery, transfer, or importation of","body":"armor-piercing ammunition -- Exceptions.\n(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly manufacture, sell, deliver, transfer,\nor import armor-piercing ammunition.\n(2) Subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to members of the Armed Forces of\nthe United States or law enforcement officers within the scope of their duties, nor\nshall it prohibit licensed gun dealers from possessing armor -piercing ammunition\nfor the purpose of receiving and transferring it to members of the Armed Forces of\nthe United States, or law enforcement officers for use within the scope of their\nduties.\n(3) A violation of subsection (1) of this section shall be a Class D felony for the first\noffense and a Class C felony for each subsequent offense.\n(4) Any armor-piercing ammunition transferred, sold, or offered for sale, in violation of\nthis section is contraband and shall be seized and summarily forfeited to the state\nand shall be disposed of pursuant to KRS 237.090.","path":["KRS Chapter 237"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11125","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:50Z","sha256":"fdd478724910521583e59c2c4b4afd3cd5388fee39d25ac4d4b20bfd1d229ede","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-237.075","next":"us-ky/krs-237.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
