{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-238.547","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 238.547","heading":"Special limited charitable fundraising event licenses -- Limitation -- Times","body":"-- Locations -- Restrictions on wagering, stakes, and prizes.\n(1) A licensed charitable organization shall be limited to two (2) special limited charity\nfundraising event li censes per year, and a special limited charity fundraising event\nshall be limited to one (1) session not to exceed six (6) hours. A special limited\ncharity fundraising event shall be conducted only between the hours of 12 noon and\n1 a.m.\n(2) A special limited charity fundraising event may be held:\n(a) On or in the premises of a licensed charitable organization;\n(b) In a licensed charitable gaming facility, subject to restrictions contained in\nKRS 238.555(7); or\n(c) At an unlicensed facility under the following conditions:\n1. An unlicensed facility shall host no more than one (1) special limited\ncharity fundraising event per year;\n2. The facility shall be closed to the general public during the conduct of a\nspecial limited charity fundraising event or the eve nt shall be held in a\nseparate room or area not accessible to the general public;\n3. Equipment used in the conduct of a special limited charity fundraising\nevent shall be removed from the premises within two (2) working days\nafter the event; and\n4. The unl icensed facility shall be subject to requirements stipulated in\nKRS 238.555(3).\n(3) No cash shall be used in playing special limited charity games at a special limited\ncharity fundraising event. Games shall be played with chips, scrip, or imitation\nmoney which shall be purchased only through a central bank or cashier under the\nauthority of the chairperson designated by the licensed charitable organization\nconducting the special limited charity fundraising event. No chips, scrip, or\nimitation money shall be sold at a gaming table or by a dealer.\n(4) Chips, scrip, or imitation money may be redeemed for cash or prizes. Prizes to be\noffered and their fair market values shall be displayed or listed in a conspicuous\nlocation within the gaming area.
