{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-241.068","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 241.068","heading":"Population data to be used in administering KRS 241.066 and 241.067.","body":"For the purposes of administering KRS 241.066 and 241.067:\n(1) The population data shall be based on a wet county's or city's annual population\nestimates prepared by the Kentucky State Data Center at the University of\nLouisville in every year except a fede ral decennial census year. The federal\ndecennial census figures of population shall be used in a census year; and\n(2) (a) On or before January 1 of each year, the department shall obtain the\npopulation figures of all wet counties and cities as of that date  for\ndetermination of the number of quota licenses available.\n(b) If a quota retail license vacancy is created by an increase in population or any\nother reason, the department shall publish notice of the vacancy and\ninformation on how to apply for the lice nse within sixty (60) days in the\nnewspaper used for the legal notices of that county or city.\n(c) The department shall accept applications for a quota retail license vacancy not\nlater than thirty (30) days following the date on which the public notice is\npublished.","path":["KRS Chapter 241"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47277","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:51Z","sha256":"78b3d25af6151dfeebbe4f816fca58b8e7b459b5eb99e474fdd56d8d6395b9e1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-241.067","next":"us-ky/krs-241.069"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
