{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-241.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 241.120","heading":"Disqualification of county judge/executive -- How vacancy filled --","body":"Appointee.\n(1) The county judge/executive shall be disqualified to act as county administrator by\nany fact that would disqualify a person under KRS 241.100 from acting as a\nmember of the board.\n(2) If he is disqualified to act as county administrator, or if a vacancy in that office\noccurs for any other reason, the judge of the Circuit Court of that county shall\nappoint to that position a person at least thirty (30) years of age who, at  the time of\nappointment, has been a citizen of the state and a resident of that county for at least\ntwo (2) years next preceding the date of appointment, and who is able to qualify.\n(3) The appointee shall serve during the unexpired portion of the term or  until the\ncounty judge/executive is able and willing to qualify.","path":["KRS Chapter 241"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11226","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:51Z","sha256":"26e6e6ec56891b029802981365b9b814e65ae57df4bf66abc146c11c38e449f4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-241.110","next":"us-ky/krs-241.130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
