{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-242.022","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 242.022","heading":"Local option election for limited sales of alcoholic beverages by the","body":"drink at qualifying state park.\n(1) (a) To  promote economic development and tourism in any dry or moist\ncounty, urban-county government, charter county, consolidated local\ngovernment, unified local government, or city, in which a state park is\nlocated, a local option election for the limited sales of alcoholic beverages\nby the drink may  be held in a city, county, urban-county government,\ncharter county, consolidated local government,  or  unified local\ngovernment precinct where the state park's qualifying lodge or golf course\nis located.\n(b) A  petition seeking a local option election under this section shall state\n\"We  the undersigned registered voters hereby petition for an election\nunder KRS 242.022 on the following question: 'Are you in favor of the sale\nof alcoholic beverages by the drink at the state park located in (name of\nprecinct)?'\".\n(2) A local option election for the limited sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink\nheld under subsection (1) of this section shall be conducted in the same\nmanner  as specified in KRS  242.020 to 242.040 and 242.060 to 242.120. The\nform of the proposition to be voted upon shall be \"Are you in favor of the sale of\nalcoholic beverages by the drink at the state park located in the (name of\nprecinct)?\".\n(3) When  a majority of the votes cast at an election held under subsections (1) and\n(2) of this section are in favor of establishing moist territory, the entire state\npark shall become moist in the manner specified in KRS 242.200.","path":["KRS Chapter 242"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45917","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:52Z","sha256":"b393c064d35fe56866f44db40a27cd495292c972820d081503159db42bfcaf7a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-242.021","next":"us-ky/krs-242.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
