{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-242.1292","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 242.1292","heading":"Licenses issued to limited sales precincts prior to July 14, 2022 --","body":"Regulatory license fee.\n(1) Any license issued by a state or local administrator under this section before July\n14, 2022, shall:\n(a) Remain valid and in effect unless the l icense is surrendered to the department\nas authorized under KRS Chapters 241 to 244;\n(b) Continue to be subject to the regulatory license fee assessed under KRS\n243.075, and the jurisdiction that issued the license may continue to assess the\nregulatory license fee; and\n(c) Not count toward the total for any other city, county, or state license limits.\n(2) (a) Notwithstanding any limitations imposed on the city's taxing or licensing\npower by KRS 243.070, for any city with a limited sale precinct established as\nwet territory under this section prior to July 14, 2022, the governing body of\nthe city may continue to impose a regulatory license fee upon the gross\nreceipts of each establishment located in said city licensed to sell alcoholic\nbeverages.\n(b) The regulatory license fee may be levied at the beginning of each city budget\nperiod at the percentage rate reasonably estimated to fully reimburse the city\nfor the estimated costs of any additional policing, regulatory, or administrative\nexpenses related to the sale of alcoholic beverages in the city.\n(c) The regulatory license fee shall be in addition to any other taxes, fees, or\nlicenses permitted by law, but a credit against the fee shall be allowed in an\namount equal to any licenses or fees imposed by the city  pursuant to KRS\n243.070.","path":["KRS Chapter 242"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52758","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:52Z","sha256":"8219b27be971fff079e82d16d7547e4d46d53eb948ac72b2aaf231cb929fb11e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-242.129","next":"us-ky/krs-242.1293"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
