{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.037","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.037","heading":"Supplemental bar license -- Main bar and service bars -- Fees.","body":"(1) Except as where specifically authorized by statute, a retailer licensed to sell\ndistilled spirits or wine by the drink shall only be permitted to sell or serve\ndistilled spirits and wine by the drink at one (1) main bar, counter, or similar\ncontrivance at the licensed premises.\n(2) A retailer may have necessary service bars, if they are not located in any room\nin which the members  or guests or patrons of the place are invited or permitted\nto come. No distilled spirits or wine shall be served at service bars.\n(3) A  supplemental bar license shall authorize the licensee to sell and serve\ndistilled spirits and wine by the drink at retail from an additional location other\nthan the main bar. A supplemental bar license is a nonquota license and shall\nnot be transferable to other premises.\n(4) The fee for a supplemental license shall be the same as the fee for the primary\nlicense authorizing retail distilled spirits and wine drink sales for each of up to\nfive (5) supplemental bar licenses. There shall be no fee for each supplemental\nlicense issued in excess of five (5) to the same licensee at the same premises.\n(5) A  license authorizing retail malt beverage sales, by the drink or by the\npackage, authorizes the licensee to sell and serve malt beverages at any\nlocation on the licensed premises without obtaining a supplemental bar license.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45935","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"e636283171edc20ea25742027df1cabdfb16de9f838a0fe9883c95f85ac704b3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.036","next":"us-ky/krs-243.038"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
