{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.215","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.215","heading":"Malt beverage supplier's license authorizing importation of malt","body":"beverages  -- Nonresident entities eligible for license -- Licenses and\nlimited licenses -- Exemption from notice requirements of KRS  243.360.\n(1) An  out-of-state brewer, distributor, importer for a brewer, or importer of a\nnon-United States brand of malt beverage, who is the primary source of supply,\nmay  obtain a malt beverage supplier's license for importing a malt beverage\nproduct into Kentucky if it is:\n(a) Licensed to do business in the state in which it is located; and\n(b) Registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue.\n(2) An entity listed in subsection (1) of this section who wishes to import more than\ntwenty-five thousand (25,000) barrels or seven hundred seventy-five thousand\n(775,000) gallons of malt beverage shall:\n(a) Apply  for an  out-of-state malt beverage  supplier's license on  an\napplication provided by the department;\n(b) Submit documentation required by the application; and\n(c) Pay the annual fee required by KRS 243.040.\n(3) An entity listed in subsection (1) of this section who wishes to import less than\ntwenty-five thousand (25,000) barrels or seven hundred seventy-five thousand\n(775,000) gallons of malt beverage shall:\n(a) Apply for a limited out-of-state malt beverage supplier's license on an\napplication provided by the department;\n(b) Submit documentation required by the application; and\n(c) Pay an annual fee required by KRS 243.040.\n(4) An out-of-state applicant shall be exempt from the notice requirements of KRS\n243.360.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45957","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"e578e7c7cf8b21d1f967cb7d1d8595e8885c58d10ef0f3bebd367e4fcf007ced","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.212","next":"us-ky/krs-243.217"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
