{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.260","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.260","heading":"Special temporary license for qualifying event -- Activities permitted","body":"and prohibited.\n(1) A  special temporary license may  be issued in wet territory to any regularly\norganized fair, exposition, racing association, farmers market, or other party,\nwhen  in the opinion of the board a necessity for the license exists. Unless\ninconsistent with this section, a special temporary licensee shall have the same\nprivileges and restrictions of a quota retail drink licensee and an NQ4 retail malt\nbeverage drink licensee at the designated premises, not to exceed thirty (30)\ndays.\n(2) A nonprofit organization holding an NQ4  retail malt beverage drink license may\nbe issued a special temporary license to sell distilled spirits and wine by the\ndrink on the licensed premises for a specified and limited time, not to exceed\nten (10) days. The temporary license may be issued in conjunction with any\npublic or private event, including but not limited to weddings, receptions,\nreunions, or similar occasions.\n(3) The holder of a special temporary license may sell, serve, and deliver alcoholic\nbeverages by the drink, for consumption only at the designated premises and\nthe date and times for the qualifying event.\n(4) A  special temporary license shall not be issued for an event held in dry or\nmoist territory.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52069","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"37b3ba7f392bf4bbc99ede5b9fe9c862c6ba63e9bb28bfbcac9cefe10c737c8b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.250","next":"us-ky/krs-243.262"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
