{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.340","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.340","heading":"Business authorized by special agent's or solicitor's license -- Issuance to","body":"nonresident -- Form.\n(1) A special agent's or solicitor's license may be issued to a duly authorized\nrepresentative, employee, or agent of, or solicitor for a distiller, re ctifier, winery, or\nwholesaler licensed in Kentucky or by the state of his or her residence and by the\nUnited States if a resident therein. The license shall authorize the licensee to offer\nfor sale and to solicit orders for the sale of any alcoholic beverage sold by a distiller,\nrectifier, winery, or wholesaler who is licensed in Kentucky or who is a nonresident.\nThe license shall set forth the name, address, and, unless the vendor is a\nnonresident, the license numbers of the vendors the agent or solicitor  represents, as\nwell as the name, address, and license number of the agent or solicitor. An agent or\nsolicitor shall not represent any vendor or licensee whose name does not appear\nupon the license or the application for the license.\n(2) A special agent's or solicitor's license may be issued to a nonresident of this state.\nThe license shall authorize the nonresident to represent a manufacturer, winery, or\nwholesaler who is licensed by another state and by the federal government, if the\nnonresident has been issued a license by another state conferring privileges similar\nto a special agent's or solicitor's license authorized by subsection (1) of this section.\nIf the state of residence of the applicant does not issue a similar license, the\napplication filed wit h the department shall not be accepted without the approval of\nthe alcoholic beverage control agency of the state of the applicant's residence.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=42508","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"8325c9a0e5f202b7f803cedbe73b93d58ae2d1dbc89d3c695aa3d5391d0aa548","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.330","next":"us-ky/krs-243.350"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
