{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.355","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.355","heading":"Business authorized by distilled spirits and wine storage license --","body":"Application of federal law.\n(1) A distilled spirits and wine storage license may be issued as a primary license or as\na supplementary license to the holder of a wholesaler's lice nse, small farm winery's\nlicense, distiller's license, rectifier's license, or quota retail package license.\n(2) A distilled spirits and wine storage license may be issued to any person operating a\nbonded warehouse for distilled spirits, and who does not a t the same time, and for\nthe same premises, hold a federal operating permit for distilling purposes, but who\npossesses only a federal operating permit for a bonded warehouse for distilled\nspirits as defined by federal law and the Internal Revenue Code.\n(3) A licensee under this section may operate a bonded warehouse or warehouses for\npremises specifically designated, but this license shall become void if a federal\noperating permit for distilling purposes is issued for the same premises, and shall\nremain voi d while the federal permit remains in effect. Upon the granting of a\nfederal operating permit for distilling purposes, the licensee of the premises\npreviously licensed under this section shall obtain a license as set out in KRS\n243.030(1).\n(4) A distilled spirits and wine storage license may be issued to persons or entities not\notherwise entitled under Kentucky law to store or warehouse distilled spirits or\nwine, but who are so authorized by the federal government. The license shall\nauthorize the licensee to operate a warehouse or place of storage for distilled spirits\nor wine on the premises specifically designated.\n(5) A quota retail package licensee holding a supplemental distilled spirits and wine\nstorage license may store distilled spirits and wine at t he storage licensed premises\nconvenient to the licensee's regular retail package licensed premises.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53461","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"44edd1685622c10b69ec4680acb7127a6f19aaad39a36668760a12ae50b06f62","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.353","next":"us-ky/krs-243.360"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
