{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.380","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.380","heading":"Applications for state licenses -- Requirements for entity owning more","body":"than two licensed premises.\n(1) Applications for distilled spirit and wine licenses or for cannabis -infused beverage\nlicenses shall be made to the distilled spirits admini strator. Applications for malt\nbeverage licenses shall be made to the malt beverages administrator. Applications\nfor distilled spirits, wine, and malt beverage licenses shall be made to the distilled\nspirits administrator and to the malt beverages administrator.\n(2) All applications shall be on forms furnished by the department. They shall be\nverified and shall set forth in detail all information concerning the applicant and the\npremises submitted for licensing as the board requires through the promulgation  of\nan administrative regulation. Each application shall be accompanied by payment.\nPayment of the license fee may be by certified check, a postal or express money\norder, or any other method of payment approved in writing by both the Finance and\nAdministration Cabinet and the Office of the State Treasurer. Promptly upon receipt\nof the payment the board shall pay it into the State Treasury, giving the Department\nof Revenue copies of the pay -in vouchers and any other supporting data as the\nDepartment of Revenue requires for revenue control purposes.\n(3) (a) A business entity that owns more than two (2) licensed premises may initially\nsubmit common information about ownership, officers, directors, managerial\nemployees, and shall provide current criminal backgro und checks once for all\nseparately licensed premises in one (1) master file.\n(b) Any business qualifying under this subsection shall only be required to amend\nits master file information for material changes under KRS 243.390(2) or\nownership transfers under KRS 243.630.\n(c) A direct shipper license applicant shall be exempt from the requirements of\nthis subsection and shall instead meet the requirements for its license type as\nset forth in KRS 243.027.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55935","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"8ff65062e32642dfed68a354353f7312cacbdba0a0bc3021e368b1d3b1b45331","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.370","next":"us-ky/krs-243.390"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
