{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.405","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.405","heading":"Cannabis -infused beverage distributor's license -- Requirements --","body":"Conditions.\n(1) A cannabis -infused beverage distributor's license may be issued as a primary\nlicense to a qualifying person as determined by the department or as a supplemental\nlicense to the holder of a distributor's or wholesaler's license. A cannabis -infused\nbeverage distributor's license shall authorize the licensee to:\n(a) Purchase cannabis-infused beverages from:\n1. A manufacturer of cannabis -infused beverages that has been  approved\nas a cannabis -infused beverage manufacturer by the Department for\nPublic Health; and\n2. Another holder of a cannabis-infused beverage distributor's license; and\n(b) Store cannabis-infused beverages and to sell them from its licensed premises\nto the holder of a:\n1. Cannabis-infused beverage retail package license; or\n2. Cannabis-infused beverage distributor's license.\n(2) A cannabis-infused beverage distributor shall transport cannabis -infused beverages\nonly by a vehicle owned, rented, or leased an d operated by the cannabis -infused\nbeverage distributor, which has affixed to its sides at all times a sign of form and\nsize prescribed by the board, containing among other things the name and license\nnumber of the licensee. No distilled spirits, wine, or malt beverages shall be\ntransported on the same truck or vehicle with cannabis-infused beverages, except by\na common carrier, unless the owner of that truck or vehicle holds the wholesaler's\nor distributor's license that allows the transport of that type of alcoholic beverage.\n(3) A cannabis-infused beverage distributor's license shall be obtained for each separate\nwarehouse, agent, distributor, broker, jobber, or place of business from which\norders are received or cannabis-infused beverages are distributed.\n(4) The holder of a cannabis-infused beverage distributor's license shall:\n(a) Not hold a cannabis-infused beverage retail package license; and\n(b) Have a licensed location in Kentucky.","path":["KRS Chapter 243"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55924","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:53Z","sha256":"2eccb5c6e3881ca761b34272bd5c85e0b2b46c417423c2c837812dc37f336580","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-243.403","next":"us-ky/krs-243.410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
