{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-243.470","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 243.470","heading":"Applicant may  have hearing before license is denied -- Refund of","body":"payments  made.\n(1) If a state administrator denies a license application, the administrator shall\nnotify the applicant in writing of the denial and reasons by registered or certified\nmail at the address given in the application or supplement.\n(2) The  applicant may, within thirty (30) days after the date of the mailing of the\nnotice from the state administrator, file a request with the board for an\nadministrative hearing on the application. The hearing shall be conducted by\nthe board as a de novo review of the application in compliance with the\nrequirements of KRS Chapter 13B.\n(3) If the state administrator denies an application and the applicant does not\ntimely request a board hearing on its application under subsection (2) of this\nsection, the department shall refund payment of the license fee to the applicant\nif requested.
