{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-244.230","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 244.230","heading":"Federal regulations adopted relating to labeling and standards of fill","body":"-- Labeling when manufactured outside country.\n(1) The  regulations of the Bureau of Internal Revenue  in the United States\nDepartment of the Treasury, with respect to the labeling and standards of fill of\ndistilled spirits and wine in their original sealed packages, are adopted and any\ndistilled spirits and wine shall be deemed  to be properly labeled under all the\nlaws  of this state, if the labels and  standards of fill conform to those\nregulations.\n(2) Distilled spirits not produced or bottled in the United States shall be labeled in\nthe same  manner  that distilled spirits produced or bottled in this state are\nrequired to be labeled.\n(3) Subsections (1) and (2) of this section shall not prevent the department from\npromulgating administrative regulations on this subject that are in addition to\nbut not contrary to the regulations of the Bureau of Internal Revenue  in the\nUnited States Department of the Treasury.","path":["KRS Chapter 244"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45999","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:55Z","sha256":"19e357efbab192100e1e300e5915d113e0962dd7ea0521f1ded376dc07d2fb9c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-244.220","next":"us-ky/krs-244.235"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
