{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-244.440","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 244.440","heading":"Registration of wholesalers authorized to handle particular brands","body":"and product names.\n(1) Every resident and nonresident distiller, rectifier, or winery and nonresident\nwholesaler who owns, is the primary source of supply, or has an exclusive\ninterest in any particular brands, which are intended for sale or sold in this\nstate, shall be licensed in this state and shall register on a form to be provided\nby  the department, the names  of the wholesalers in this state to whom\ndistributing rights have been granted for one or more or all of the brands and\nproduct names of distilled spirits or wine offered for sale or sold in this state.\n(2) No  distiller, rectifier, or winery shall offer to sell or sell, and no wholesaler shall\noffer to purchase or purchase, any brands and product names  that have not\nbeen registered as provided by this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 244"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46004","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:55Z","sha256":"99855ea1479b3ecd726d0369e540c48faf82b330f76b30c6696c6bac986ec6e5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-244.430","next":"us-ky/krs-244.450"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
