{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-246.055","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 246.055","heading":"Acceptance of federal aid, nonfederal funds and grants, gifts, donations, or","body":"devises -- Authorized actions -- Agreement with federal government or state or\nlocal public agency.\n(1) The Department of Agriculture may accept federal aid, nonfederal funds and grants,\ngifts, donations, or devises.\n(2) For use in connection with any program of the department and for the benefit of\nprograms under its control and supervision, the department is authorized to do any\nof the following:\n(a) Accept provisions of any Act of Congress appropriating, granting, or\napportioning funds or commodities to the state;\n(b) Receive funds appropriated by the General Assembly, or from any other\nsource identified in subsection (1) of this section;\n(c) Provide for the proper ap portionment and disbursement of such funds in\naccordance with state or federal laws; or\n(d) Accept and provide for the administration of any nonfederal funds or grants,\ngifts, donations, or devises from any source public or private.\n(3) The Commissioner o f Agriculture may enter into any agreement and carry out the\nterms of such agreement with any department of the federal government, or state or\nlocal public agency, to handle funds, commodities, or any devise under any\nprogram assigned to or handled by the Department of Agriculture.","path":["KRS Chapter 246"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57111","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:55Z","sha256":"fca6f29a64d306ad88dd4481864b3798dfc82e5983c004055b3be02259d89cca","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-246.050","next":"us-ky/krs-246.057"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
