{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.463","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.463","heading":"Application by association for assessment -- Form.","body":"(1) Any existing commission, council, board, association or other agency such as the\nAmerican Dairy Association of Kentucky, fairly representative of the producers of\nsuch agricultural commodity herein referred to may at any time after the enactment\nof KRS 247 .450 to 247.505 make application to the State Board of Agriculture on\nforms prescribed by such board for certification and approval for the purpose of\nconducting a referendum among the producers of such agricultural commodity, for\ncommercial purposes, upon  the question of levying an assessment under the\nprovisions of KRS 247.450 to 247.505, collecting and utilizing the same for the\npurpose stated in such referendum. Such application forms shall include, but not be\nlimited to, the following:\n(a) Applicant's name;\n(b) Applicant's address;\n(c) Date;\n(d) Program to be undertaken for producers;\n(e) Brief statement of how program is to be implemented;\n(f) Referendum to be conducted on a statewide or area basis;\n(g) Proposed effective date of program;\n(h) Geographic area (by counties) of producers to be affected by program;\n(i) Signature of applicant.\n(2) Upon receipt of such application, the commissioner shall publish such application\nthrough the medium of the public press in the state within ten (10) days of recei pt\nthereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11675","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:57Z","sha256":"e6190e83ecd926736f838376633a175ca03cb5ea188c682675119c0d43e98b89","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.460","next":"us-ky/krs-247.467"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
