{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.480","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.480","heading":"Commissioner of Agriculture to determine polling places, details of","body":"assessment, limits.\nWith respect to any referendum conducted under the provisions of KRS 247.450 to\n247.505, the Commissioner of Agriculture shall, before calling and announcing such\nreferendum, fix, determine and publicly announce at least thirty (30) days before the date\ndetermined upon for such referendum, the date, hours and polling places for voting in\nsuch referendum, the effective date of the assessment, if adopted, the amount a nd basis of\nthe assessment proposed to be collected, the means by which such assessment shall be\ncollected if authorized by the producers, and the general purposes to which said amount\nso collected shall be applied; no annual assessment levied under the pr ovisions of KRS\n247.450 to 247.505 shall exceed one and one -half percent (1.5%) of the value of the\nyear's production of such agricultural commodity produced by any producer included in\nthe group to which such referendum is submitted.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11680","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:57Z","sha256":"252ffb2cdf25f21a72fd1fbd6fd61162465437ea0253029d9fa4efe7749fd00a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.477","next":"us-ky/krs-247.483"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
