{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.5079","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.5079","heading":"Commissioner to prescribe rules of holding referendum -- Notice -- Limit","body":"of assessment.\nThe hours, voting places, rules, and regulations for the referendum shall be established\nand determined by the Commissioner of Agriculture and shall be published by the\nCommissioner through the medium of the public press in the Commonwealth of\nKentucky at least thirty (30) days before the holding of the referendum, and direct written\nnotice thereof shall likewise be given to each county or area agent in any county covered\nby the referendum. The notice shall likewise contain a statement of the amount of the\nassessment proposed to be levied, which assessment in any event shall not exceed one\nfourth of one percent (0.25%) of the net marketed price per bushel, and shall  likewise\nstate the method by which the assessment shall be collected and how the proceeds shall\nbe administered and the purposes to which the proceeds shall be applied, which purposes\nshall be in keeping with the provisions of KRS 247.5061 to 247.5095.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11697","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:58Z","sha256":"6e9a665ba0e54786b76989ea8e5faecda2ee8204f2c96127a436ced510c31cb5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.5077","next":"us-ky/krs-247.5081"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
