{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.6029","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.6029","heading":"Use of funds.","body":"The funds, including donations from individuals, concerns, corporations, and grants from\nthe state or governmental agencies, shall be used for the purpose of promoting and\nstimulating, by research, market development and education, the increased use and sa le,\ndomestic and foreign, of corn and corn products; and for the prevention, modification, or\nelimination of trade barriers which obstruct the free flow of corn and corn products to\nmarket. None of these funds shall be used to lobby as defined in KRS 6.611 . The duly\ncertified association receiving the assessment funds shall, upon the advice and consent of\nthe Kentucky Corn Promotion Council, use and disburse the same as follows:\n(1) The association may first refund to itself therefrom the costs and expenses  incurred\nin the conduct of the referendum;\n(2) The association may spend or disburse the necessary funds therefrom for\nadministrative costs and expenses, but no more than fifteen percent (15%) of the\nfunds collected in any marketing year shall be so utilized; and\n(3) The balance remaining shall be used for the purposes provided in this section, as\ndetermined by the Kentucky Corn Promotion Council.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11743","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:58Z","sha256":"41faca0ee2561c5c1c2537640796fb06253e4062e34da926b1015501bf33a74c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.6027","next":"us-ky/krs-247.6031"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
