{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.6052","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.6052","heading":"Treatment or destruction of cotton in elimination zones -- No payment for","body":"losses -- Exception -- Commissioner may restrict entry in zones.\n(1) The Commissioner may treat with pesticides or destroy volunteer or other\nnoncommercial cotton, and may esta blish procedures for the purchase and\ndestruction of commercial cotton in elimination zones as designated under KRS\n247.6050.\n(2) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, no payment shall be made to\nthe owner or lessee for the destruction or i njury of any cotton which was planted in\nan elimination zone if the cotton was planted in violation of any provision of KRS\n247.6040 to 247.6070 or any administrative regulations promulgated under KRS\n247.6040 to 247.6070.\n(3) If cotton that was planted in  an elimination zone prior to the notification\nrequirement in KRS 247.6050 is destroyed or injured, the Commissioner shall pay\nfor losses incurred.\n(4) The Commissioner may restrict entry by persons, and may restrict the location of\nhoneybee colonies, in a ny areas of an elimination zone which has been or is to be\ntreated with pesticides.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11753","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:58Z","sha256":"5934134484d60d8be43ad253ae3d44b88c3f1f5e95efc8ea43916c8020cada2c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.6050","next":"us-ky/krs-247.6054"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
