{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.652","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.652","heading":"Credit of up to fifty cents to producer on each bovine animal on which one","body":"dollar assessment was made -- Assessment to be collected if federal assessment\nis terminated.\n(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of KRS 247.610 to 247.685, in accordance with  the\nFederal Beef Promotion and Research Act of 1985, each Kentucky producer of a\nbovine animal shall receive a credit of up to fifty cents ($0.50) on each bovine\nanimal on which a one dollar ($1) assessment was made under the terms of the\nfederal act. Each fifty cent ($0.50) credit received by the producer shall be retained\nby the association certified under KRS 247.610 to 247.685 and shall be used by the\nassociation for the purposes provided in KRS 247.610 to 247.685.\n(2) In the event the one dollar ($1) assessment provided by the federal act is terminated\nor suspended, that assessment on each Kentucky producer of a bovine animal shall\ncontinue to be collected, shall be retained by the association certified under KRS\n247.610 to 247.685, and shall be used f or the purposes provided in KRS 247.610 to\n247.685.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=42595","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:59Z","sha256":"52d4fd5bea65e93cfc2950ff9bd5086e98554139311d1e5cdf4f39de18bfdff5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.650","next":"us-ky/krs-247.655"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
