{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.6941","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.6941","heading":"Notice of deduction required -- Disposition of collections -- Records.","body":"(1) If a majority of the eligible producers in the referendum who vote in the referendum\nvote in favor of the assessment, the Commissioner shall notify, by certified mail, all\npersons engaged in the business of purchasing ovine or caprine animals in this state,\nthat on and after the date specified in the letter, the specified assessment shall be\ndeducted from the producer's payment by the purchaser, or his agent or\nrepresentative, from the net marketed price of the ovine or caprine animals.\n(2) The assessment shall, on or before the fifteenth day of the month following the end\nof the month in which the ovine or caprine animals are sold to the purchaser, be\nremitted by the purchaser to the duly certified association which conducted the\nreferendum.\n(3) The books and records of all the purchasers of ovine or caprine animals shall at all\ntimes during regular business hours be open for inspection by the collection and\ncompliance officer of the association which conducted the referendum, or the\nCommissioner or his duly authorized agents.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11792","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:59Z","sha256":"54453f649a98bf1b960a734448b407786babb82567664669723872eda1c1e3dc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.6937","next":"us-ky/krs-247.6944"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
