{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.730","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.730","heading":"Application by association for assessment -- Forms.","body":"(1) Any existing association which is fairly representative of burley tobacco in\nKentucky, such as the Council for Burley Tobacco, may at any time after the\nenactment of KRS 247.710 to 247.785 make application to the State Board of\nAgriculture on forms prescribed by such board for certification and approval for the\npurpose of conducting a referendum among the producers of burley tobacco upon\nthe question of levying an assessment under the provisions of KRS 247.710 to\n247.785, and collecting and utilizing the sa me for the purpose stated in such\nreferendum.  Such application forms shall include, but not be limited to, the\nfollowing:\n(a) Applicant's name;\n(b) Applicant's address;\n(c) Date;\n(d) Program to be undertaken for producers;\n(e) Brief statement of how the program is to be implemented;\n(f) Referendum to be conducted on a statewide or area basis;\n(g) Proposed effective date of the program;\n(h) Geographic area, by counties, of producers to be affected by the program; and\n(i) Signature of the applicant.\n(2) Upon receipt of the application, the Commissioner shall publish the application\nthrough the medium of the public press in the state within ten (10) days of receipt\nthereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11802","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:59Z","sha256":"769f6b436114e85b6dfdd66a4f51f476eaf7e93f13c9b904f4a28108c0241c0a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.725","next":"us-ky/krs-247.735"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
