{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.802","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.802","heading":"Duties of agritourism program.","body":"The agritourism program shall perform all duties necessary to carry out the purposes of\nKRS 247.800 to 247.810, including but not limited to:\n(1) Coordinating efforts to educate the general public about the importance of\nKentucky's agricultural heritage and industry;\n(2) Providing support, education, and resource materials for all interested persons, to\ninclude but not be limited to existing Kentucky agritourism businesses, displaced\ntobacco farmers and others engaged in agribusiness within the state, and o ther\nKentuckians with the intent of developing an agritourism business. The agritourism\nprogram shall provide this assistance in the following areas, to include but not be\nlimited to:\n(a) Agritourism opportunities, networks, product development, and\nentrepreneurship;\n(b) Agritourism funding opportunities, including but not limited to grants, loans,\nand partnerships; and\n(c) Insurance and infrastructure concerns of the agritourism industry;\n(3) Working and partnering with federal, state, and local organizati ons to carry out the\npurposes of KRS 247.800 to 247.810;\n(4) Reporting to the Agritourism Advisory Council, as created in KRS 247.804,\nannually or at the request of the chair; and\n(5) Considering the recommendations of the Agritourism Advisory Council, in\naccordance with KRS 247.806(2).","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53131","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:59Z","sha256":"45ecabe7d245a0815088f659631d0d87e68137273120507ab2f0e3e9b2e1d077","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.801","next":"us-ky/krs-247.804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
