{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.851","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.851","heading":"Definitions for KRS 247.852 to 247.865.","body":"As used in KRS 247.852 to 247.865 unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Board\" means the State Board of Agriculture;\n(2) \"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of Agriculture;\n(3) \"Dealer\" means a person, organization, or cooperative engaged in the bu siness of\nbuying eggs from producers, either on his own account or as an agent, and selling or\ntransferring eggs by the case to a wholesaler, processor, retailer, or other person;\n(4) \"Handler\" means a dealer, processor, or wholesaler;\n(5) \"Person\" means a ny individual, firm, partnership, corporation, company, or\nassociation, and shall include any trustee, receiver or similar representative;\n(6) \"Processor\" means a person who operates a plant for the purpose of breaking eggs\nfor freezing or drying;\n(7) \"Retailer\" means any person selling or offering for sale eggs to consumers in this\nstate; and\n(8) \"Wholesaler\" means a person who assembles eggs in case lots and disposes of them\nin quantities to retailers, or through other distribution channels.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11836","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:59Z","sha256":"1342941619f4ded9e18b3a53be655e8f680d5e464aa3218b0161226aa1e73cc3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.850","next":"us-ky/krs-247.852"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
