{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.859","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.859","heading":"Details of and rules governing referendum prescribed by Commissioner --","body":"Notice.\nThe hours, voting places, rules and regulations, and the area within which the referendum\nwill be conducted shall be established and determined by the Commissioner of\nAgriculture. The said referendum date, area, hours, voting places, and rules and\nregulations with respect to the holding of the referendum shall be published by the\nCommissioner through the medium of the public press in the state at least thirty (30) days\nbefore holding the referendum, and direct written notice thereof shall likewise be given to\neach county or area agent in any county covered by the referendum. Such notice shall\nlikewise contain a statement of the amount of the assessment proposed to be levied,\nwhich assessment in any event shall not exceed one cent ($0.01) for each fifteen (15)\ndozen lot of eggs or portion thereof bought or sold by a handler, and shall likewise state\nthe method by which such assessment shall be collected and how the proceeds th ereof\nshall be administered and the purposes to which the same shall be applied, which\npurposes shall be in keeping with the provisions of KRS 247.850 to 247.865.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11844","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:00Z","sha256":"e540677955ccebdc34c57ceaeba59672398b031bac395ce528ef043f6208d543","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.858","next":"us-ky/krs-247.860"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
