{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-247.985","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 247.985","heading":"Farms to food banks trust fund.","body":"(1) The farms to food banks trust fund is hereby created in the State Treasury as a\nrestricted account to be administered by the department with advice from the Farms\nto Food Banks Advisory Committee established by KRS 247.984, for the purposes\nprovided in this section.\n(2) The fund shall receive amounts collected from the income tax checkoff created in\nKRS 141.448, and any other proceeds from grants, contributions, appropriations, or\nother moneys made available for the purposes of this fund.\n(3) Notwithstanding KRS 45.229, any moneys accruing to this fund in any fiscal year,\nincluding state appropriations, gifts, grants, federal funds, interest, and any other\nfunds both public and private, shall not lapse but shall be carried forward to the next\nfiscal year.\n(4) Moneys received in the fund shall only be used for awarding grants to eligible\nnonprofit organizations pursuant to KRS 247.980 to 247.986.","path":["KRS Chapter 247"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47459","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:00Z","sha256":"41097a8df857189bd84a66bd17aeb47f94a1bb4dde8157cea919b305bb4a6d14","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-247.984","next":"us-ky/krs-247.986"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
