{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-248.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 248.560","heading":"Proposed research program -- Budget.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center shall prepare a proposed\nresearch program and budget request for each fiscal year and shall present such\ndocuments to the Kentucky Tobacco Research Board for consideration and\napproval. The budget shall be based on revenue estimates as provided in KRS\n248.550.\n(2) The budget shall provide for payment of expenses incurred by Kentucky Tobacco\nResearch Board members as provided in subsection (2) of KRS 248.510, and for\nother administrative costs of the board.\n(3) The Kentucky Tobacco Research Board shall consider the university\nrecommendations and shall approve a budget for each fiscal year which shall be the\nbasis for expending funds appropriated by KRS 248.510 to 248.570. The budget\nand proposed research pr ogram shall be considered by the board in terms of the\nintent of KRS 248.510 to 248.570.\n(4) The university is authorized to proceed to execute the budget approved by the\nKentucky Tobacco Research Board and may expend funds accordingly, and, the\nFinance and Administration Cabinet is hereby authorized to issue warrants for this\npurpose upon request by the university.\n(5) Copies of the approved budget shall be filed by the board with the Legislative\nResearch Commission and the Finance and Administration Cabinet.","path":["KRS Chapter 248"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=11955","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:01Z","sha256":"a9e9cff8a8c3e6d3baaf70fcfb385319410fb03c58b18bf4f16efa5d3edda620","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-248.550","next":"us-ky/krs-248.570"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
