{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-252.200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 252.200","heading":"Quarantine.","body":"For the purposes of KRS 252.180 to 252.240 the Commissioner may establish and\nmaintain quarantines prohibiting the shipment into or within the state, or any subdivision\nthereof of any bees, queen bees, used hives or any part thereof, used appliances or any\nmaterial capable of transmitting any bee diseases, for such periods and under such\nconditions as he may deem necessary to control, eradicate or prevent the introduction,\nspread, or dissemination of any and all bee diseases, giving such notice thereof as m ay be\nprescribed by the Commissioner, and during the existence of such order no person shall\nremove or ship from such area any such material whatever except by special permission\nor order of the Commissioner; provided, however, that before the Commissioner  shall\npromulgate the order of quarantine as provided in this section, the Commissioner shall,\nafter due notice to interested persons, give a public hearing under such rules and\nregulations as the Commissioner shall prescribe, at which hearing any interest ed person\nmay appear and be heard, either in person or by attorney.","path":["KRS Chapter 252"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12299","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:05Z","sha256":"5bd012ea08840732523717c8f5f0b5364a1850f5081591cd453d60ec10cd1f5f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-252.190","next":"us-ky/krs-252.210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
