{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-260.780","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 260.780","heading":"Prohibited handling practices.","body":"It shall be unlawful for a handler of milk in this state to:\n(1) Receive or buy milk from permitted producers or their agents without obtaining a\nlicense for each location where milk is received or handled;\n(2) Receive milk that is paid for on the basis of  weight or volume without having it\nsampled and weighed or measured by a licensed sampler-weigher;\n(3) Manipulate weights, measurements, or tests that are to be used as a basis to\npurchase milk;\n(4) Use false or incorrect records of weights or tests as a basis for payment;\n(5) Receive milk purchased from permitted producers by a milk handler that does not\nhave a license to handle;\n(6) Use weighing, mixing, sampling, or testing equipment which is inaccurate or\nnonstandard;\n(7) Fail to comply with administrat ive regulations for weighing, measuring, sampling,\nand testing milk issued by the director;\n(8) Fail to keep records of weights and tests as required by administrative regulation or\nfail to make such records available for inspection by the director;\n(9) Receive milk which is paid for on the basis of tests without having it tested by a\nlicensed tester;\n(10) Fail to notify the director in writing of any knowledge of an inaccurately calibrated\nbulk milk tank; or\n(11) Hinder or obstruct any authorized person in  the performance of his or her duties\nunder KRS 260.775 to 260.845.","path":["KRS Chapter 260"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12635","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:09Z","sha256":"d13da285195308471065c9eeebf5e986e1787d7b1a00d41bddffccde98c11cc6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-260.777","next":"us-ky/krs-260.783"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
