{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-260.830","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 260.830","heading":"Director's power to suspend or revoke license -- Hearings -- Appeals.","body":"(1) The director may refuse, revoke, suspend, or probate any license or temporary\nlicense issued under authority of KRS 260.775 to 260.845; provided, however, that\nany refusal, revocation, suspension, or probation shall occur only when the licensee\nhas failed to comply with the provisions of KRS 260.775 to 260.845 or the\nadministrative regulations issued thereunder, and provided that any refusal,\nrevocation, suspension, or probation shall occur only after the licensee has had an\nopportunity, upon due notice, fo r an informal hearing before the director, to show\ncause why the license or temporary license should not be refused, revoked,\nsuspended, or probated.\n(2) The director may refuse, revoke, suspend, or probate any license or temporary\nlicense of a person who has pled guilty to or been convicted of a felony.\n(3) If a license is refused, revoked, suspended, or probated as the result of an informal\nhearing, the decision may be appealed and upon appeal an administrative hearing\nshall be conducted before the board in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B.\n(4) The licensee may appeal the final order of the director by filing a petition in the\nFayette Circuit Court in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B.","path":["KRS Chapter 260"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12654","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:10Z","sha256":"f70b17e5738e85a027f4895fde06ff9fa026311e99a319e2eb421b615f1131b9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-260.825","next":"us-ky/krs-260.835"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
