{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-260.860","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 260.860","heading":"Hemp  Advisory Board.","body":"(1) The Hemp  Advisory Board is created for the purpose of providing advice and\nexpertise as may be needed by the department with respect to plans, policies,\nand  procedures applicable to the administration of its respective hemp\nprogram.\n(2) The  Hemp  Advisory Board  shall be  attached to the department for\nadministrative purposes.\n(3) The Hemp  Advisory Board shall be composed of the following members:\n(a) The Commissioner of the department or the Commissioner's designee;\n(b) The dean of the University of Kentucky's College of Agriculture, Food and\nEnvironment or the dean's designee;\n(c) The  commissioner of the Department of Kentucky State Police or the\ncommissioner's designee;\n(d) The  president of the Kentucky Sheriff's Association or the president's\ndesignee;\n(e) The  president of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police or the\npresident's designee; and\n(f) Ten (10) at-large members  designated by the Commissioner.\n(4) The Commissioner or the Commissioner's designee shall serve as chair.\n(5) A majority of the members  of the board shall constitute a quorum.\n(6) The board shall meet at least one (1) time annually at the call of the chair.\n(7) In making the initial appointments of the board, the Commissioner shall stagger\nthe terms of the board members. Thereafter, members  shall be appointed to a\nterm of four (4) years and shall serve until their successors are duly appointed\nand qualified.\n(8) Board  members  shall receive no compensation but shall be reimbursed,\npayable from the hemp  program fund, for any actual travel expense incurred\nwhile attending meetings of the board.","path":["KRS Chapter 260"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50660","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:10Z","sha256":"2ffdaf80f75392b1878b7058355ee594e0cba8e9a22abb35de82ca5be01d320a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-260.859","next":"us-ky/krs-260.861"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
