{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-261.235","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 261.235","heading":"Licensure of market agencies.","body":"(1) No person shall engage in the business of being a market agency without having\nfirst obtained a license from the department. Application for a license shall be made\non a form provided by the department and accompanied by a fee of ten dollars\n($10), payable  to the Kentucky State Treasurer. The license shall expire on\nDecember 31 and shall be renewed annually.\n(2) The terms and conditions for the licensure of market agencies shall be established\nby administrative regulation promulgated by the department.\n(3) If the department determines that a person is required to be licensed both as a dealer\nand a market agency, then that person shall be required to pay for only one (1)\nlicense, but shall be required to obtain both licenses and comply with the\nrequirements of both licenses.","path":["KRS Chapter 261"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40150","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:10Z","sha256":"4ce79da8ca68f8f495f12ed471111b4c8b83ae7ba80af0f9e3b75bd02dd3d17e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-261.230","next":"us-ky/krs-261.240"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
