{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-262.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 262.130","heading":"Commission to pay for and supervise conduct of referendum -- Equal","body":"representation of opposing sides.\n(1) The commission shall pay all expenses for the issuance of notices and the conduct\nof the hearings and referendum provided for in KRS 262.110 and 262.120, and shall\nsupervise the conduct of the hearings and referendum. It shall issue appropriate\nregulations governing the conduct of the hearings and referendum and providing for\nthe registration prior to the date of the referendum of all eligible voter s, or\nprescribing some other appropriate procedure for the determination of the eligibility\nof voters in the referendum.\n(2) In all referendums under this chapter, provision shall be made for those opposing\nthe establishment of a district or the adoption of any regulation to have equal\nrepresentation with the proponents of the measure in the registration and\ndetermination of eligibility of voters, in the election officers, in the holding of the\nreferendum, in the custody of the votes cast and in the canvas sing and certifying of\nthe returns.","path":["KRS Chapter 262"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12722","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:11Z","sha256":"aed30ff92ee75951e146791dee06c00e8fac2339d23ff0bee4266b0acd227854","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-262.120","next":"us-ky/krs-262.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
