{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-262.742","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 262.742","heading":"Vacancy on board of directors -- Notice.","body":"(1) Within thirty (30) days of the effective date of any vacancy on a board of directors\nof a watershed conservancy district, the board of the soil and water conservation\ndistrict where the vacancy occurs shall publish a notice of the vacancy in a\nnewspaper of general circulation in the area served by the watershed conservancy\ndistrict pursuant to the requirements of KRS Chapter 424. The notice shall include\ninformation on the nominating petition process to fill the vacancy established in\nKRS 262.740. The board  of the soil and water conservation district filling the\nvacancy shall also advertise the vacancy on any website or social media account it\nmay control.\n(2) A vacancy on the board of directors of a watershed conservancy district shall be\nfilled by the boar d of supervisors of the soil and water conservation district where\nthe vacancy occurs.","path":["KRS Chapter 262"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54500","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:11Z","sha256":"bc07c662beaaef223dd9787dac9286f103f5f7dbc4f8e2f51ac9bf62e49a878e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-262.740","next":"us-ky/krs-262.745"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
