{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-262.776","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 262.776","heading":"Definitions for KRS 262.776 to 262.779.","body":"As used in KRS 262.776 to 262.779:\n(1) \"Project\" means the acquisition by a watershed conservancy district of easements,\nrights-of-way, or land by purchase or condemnation in order to enable the district to\nconstruct and maintain flood control structures or institute other beneficial flood\ncontrol measures.\n(2) \"Cost\" means the cost of land, easements, or rights -of-way necessary for a project,\nand every expense connected with a project and accompanying bond issues,\nincluding engineers' fees, attorney fees, publication of resolutions and noti ces,\nprinting of bonds, interest which will accrue on the bonds until the due date of the\nfirst annual assessment levied in connection therewith the fee of a fiscal agent for\nadvice as to the preparation and marketing of the bonds, and other costs of\nfinancing, as well as reasonable allowance for unforeseen contingencies.\n(3) \"Benefited land\" means land located within a flood plain area, as determined by the\nboard of directors of a watershed conservancy district, which will derive direct\nbenefits from a flood control project of the district.","path":["KRS Chapter 262"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12801","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:11Z","sha256":"228b8aea18713fed208181721b24323653b02f0a1b43affb0b5614f8986c2790","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-262.775","next":"us-ky/krs-262.777"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
