{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-262.908","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 262.908","heading":"Responsibilities of board.","body":"(1) The PACE board shall have the following responsibilities:\n(a) Implementing a Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement Program in\nthe Commonwealth as provided by this section, including the development\nand promulgation of any administrative regulations required;\n(b) Making decisions in connection with each specific easement purchase to be\nmade with Commonwealth funds from the agricultural enhancement fund;\n(c) Evaluating, as necessary, potential sites within the Commonwealth on which\nagricultural conse rvation easements or other property interests are to be\nacquired, applying the criteria set forth in this section and administrative\nregulations; and\n(d) Employing the staff necessary to implement the provisions of this section.\n(2) (a) The PACE board shal l establish fair, equitable, objective, nondiscriminatory\nprocedures for determining easement purchase priorities.\n(b) The board shall promulgate administrative regulations establishing policies\nand procedures for determining easement purchase priorities a nd for\npurchasing easements.\n(c) The program criteria shall be designed to ensure that land is selected for\neasement purchase because it will make a significant contribution to\nagricultural production.","path":["KRS Chapter 262"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12817","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:12Z","sha256":"ea33c91dd2eb38b6aaa688ce969acb0f40927c82cb1af4a8333bf4f10138533d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-262.906","next":"us-ky/krs-262.910"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
