{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-266.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 266.100","heading":"Board of levee commissioners -- Appointment -- Terms -- Removal of","body":"members.\n(1) The county judge/executive shall, upon the creation of a levee district as provided in\nKRS 65.182 and 266.010 and every four (4) years thereafter, appoint five (5)\nresident landowners of the vicinity of the levee to be known as the board of levee\ncommissioners. The commissioners shall serve for a term of four (4) years and until\ntheir successors are appointed. The county judge/executive shall fill any vacancies\nin the board. All appointments to the board shall be subject to the approval of the\nfiscal court.\n(2) Members of the board of levee commissioners may be removed from office as\nprovided by KRS 65.007.\n(3) When a multicounty levee district is established the board shall be appointed by the\ncounty judges/executive of the counties involved.
