{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-268.390","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 268.390","heading":"Seal of board on assessment record -- Notice and payment of assessments --","body":"Determination as to bond issue.\n(1) When the secretary of the board receives from the clerk the copies of the assessment\nrecord, corrected by the county judge/executive and cer tified by the clerk, he shall\nnotify the board which shall then meet and impress its seal on each page of each\ncopy of the assessment record.\n(2) The secretary shall then give notice that the corrected assessment record is in his\nhands, and that all person s whose property has been assessed may by a day certain\nto be stated in the notice, which shall be not less than thirty (30) nor more than sixty\n(60) days, pay to the treasurer of the board the minimum assessment levied against\nhis property and have the li en upon the property released. Any person, on or before\nthe day fixed in the notice, may pay to the treasurer the minimum assessment\nagainst any property, and take his receipt therefor showing the amount paid. A\ncanceled check shall be the equivalent of a receipt.  The treasurer shall indorse\nbelow the notation of that assessment on each copy of the assessment record in his\nhands in red ink the words \"paid in full by .........,\" giving the date, and sign his\nname.\n(3) Immediately after the date fixed in the  notice on which payments of assessments\nmay be made, the board shall meet and adopt a resolution which shall be spread\nupon the records of the board, stating the total amount of bonds to be issued for the\ndistrict and fixing the number of series, the time  of payment of each series and the\ndenominations.","path":["KRS Chapter 268"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12962","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:13Z","sha256":"bc8bc52adf583e82d3b5cf20d0f6acb30bc2dacc7bfde8b6045b1caf06fac3f3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-268.380","next":"us-ky/krs-268.400"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
