{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-268.630","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 268.630","heading":"Improvements of other authorities not affected -- Joint use --","body":"Appropriations by county or city to aid district.\n(1) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to deprive the fiscal court or other\ngoverning authority of any county or city of its juris diction and control over any\nlevee or drain established or constructed under its authority. However, any such\nimprovement may be used as an outlet for any drain established under this chapter,\nand the governing authority of the county or city may, in its d iscretion, delegate to\nthe board jurisdiction and control or a joint use and control over the improvement\nupon any conditions agreed upon between them. This agreement shall be written,\napproved by the parties to it, and recorded upon the minutes of the pro ceedings of\nboth bodies.\n(2) The fiscal court or other governing authority of the county or city may, when in its\njudgment the public interests and welfare justify it, make appropriations to aid any\ndistrict in constructing or maintaining any improvement provided for in this chapter\nor under the control of the board.","path":["KRS Chapter 268"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=12987","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:14Z","sha256":"1c1d0f0b47cd169c4f261f075ab9446f43b4ec7244982b970c5427b39f0f95d4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-268.620","next":"us-ky/krs-268.640"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
