{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-26a.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 26A.400","heading":"Drug court program -- Administration -- No right to treatment conferred -","body":"- Exemption from division supervision while in program.\n(1) As used in this section, unless the context otherwise requires, \"drug court program\"\nmeans any drug court program au thorized and administered by the Kentucky\nSupreme Court.\n(2) The Supreme Court of Kentucky shall administer the drug court program to:\n(a) Develop standards, establish program eligibility, and provide oversight for\noperation for drug court programs;\n(b) Define, develop, and gather outcome measures for drug court programs;\n(c) Collect, report, and disseminate drug court data;\n(d) Sponsor and coordinate state drug court training; and\n(e) Apply for, administer, and evaluate any grant for drug court purposes.\n(3) Nothing contained in this section shall confer a right or an expectation of a right to\ntreatment for an offender within the criminal justice system or the juvenile justice\nsystem.\n(4) If a defendant has been accepted into the drug court program and is s upervised by\nthat program as a condition of probation, the defendant shall not be subject to the\nsupervision of the Division of Probation and Parole during his or her participation\nin the drug court program.","path":["KRS Chapter 26A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40912","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:46Z","sha256":"8b491bbb8d5802b8276a24d9b9ba2c2624293bb4edfdaceeecc40bb7cd611208","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-26a.300","next":"us-ky/krs-27.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
