{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-271b.13-230","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 271B.13-230","heading":"Duty to demand payment.","body":"(1) A shareholder who is sent a dissenters' notice described in KRS 271B.13 -220 shall\ndemand payment, certify whether he acquired beneficial ownership of the shares\nbefore the date required to be set forth in the dissenters' notice pursuant to\nsubsection (2)(c ) of KRS 271B.13 -220, and deposit his certificates in accordance\nwith the terms of the notice.\n(2) The shareholder who demands payment and deposits his share certificates under\nsubsection (1) of this section shall retain all other rights of a shareholder u ntil these\nrights are canceled or modified by the taking of the proposed corporate action.\n(3) A shareholder who does not demand payment or deposit his share certificates where\nrequired, each by the date set in the dissenters' notice, shall not be entitled  to\npayment for his shares under this subtitle.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13439","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:19Z","sha256":"504b6f23cc5e5793b5bf6314592b01581edc5aa0ae2d56cc03540e99211d3bdb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-271b.13-220","next":"us-ky/krs-271b.13-240"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
