{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272.161","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272.161","heading":"Meetings, notice.","body":"An association may provide in its bylaws for one or more regular meetings each year.\nSpecial meetings of the members of the association may be called by the board; it shall be\nthe board's duty to call such meetings when ten percent (10%) of the members of the\nassociation file with the association secretary a petition demanding a special meeting and\nspecifying the business to be considered at such meeting. Regular or special meetings\nmay be held within or without the state. Notice of all meetings, except as otherwise\nprovided by law or in the articles of incorporation or bylaws, shall be mailed to each\nmember at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting, and in case of special meetings the\nnotice shall state the purposes for which it is called, but the bylaws may provide that all\nnotices, except of proposed amendments to the articles of incorporation, may be given by\npublication in a periodical or newsletter published by or for the association of which\nsubstantially all its members are recipients, or in newspap ers whose combined circulation\nis general in the territory in which the association operates.","path":["KRS Chapter 272"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13521","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:20Z","sha256":"9645a5c45c888412dc626e0467f6b20d5055e163f4d85ba1cba4b42c0c8db4f6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272.160","next":"us-ky/krs-272.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
